January craft challenge 2019

Craft owl blog has a January craft challenge with the theme of love. I decided to take part.

I decided to create a simple tartan heart card that anyone could make. If you don’t have tartan card you could easily use tartan wrapping paper.

Make heart template and cut round it.

Stick the heart to the front of the card.

Add a cute message to tartan background. Add some cute heart confetti and it’s ready to send to someone special.

Cross stitch cassette card. You’re my A side. ❤️

I love listening to music and made quite a few mix tapes in my teens! So I found a cross stitch for a cassette and attempted to make a card. You wouldn’t think it, but it took quite a few hours to stitch the cassette. I am pleased with the finished card!

Oh by the way, the album I listened to while making the card was Amos Lee – Amos Lee live at Red Rock (2015). Well worth the listen! 💕
